Creating your account and accessing MyHealthPEI
Creating a MyPEI Account
Before Prince Edward Islanders can access MyHealthPEI they must first register for a MyPEI account.
Below are the instructions for creating an account:
Open a web browser
Click Sign In or Create Account
Select the option to create a new account
Click Create Account
Begin the account creation process
Review Terms and Conditions
Review the Terms and Conditions, including the Privacy Policy. Check all boxes that state "I have had the opportunity to read..." Then click Continue.
Fill out required information
Fill out the required information in the following fields and click Continue:
- First Name
- Middle Name (optional)
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Create Password
- Confirm Password
Email Verification
A verification code will automatically be sent to the email address you provided. This validation step ensures that you own the mailbox. Enter the 6-digit verification code.
Continue to Verify Identity
Click Continue to Verify Identity.
Online Verification
On the "Verify Your Identity Online or In-Person" page, review the key information and click Continue to Online Verification.
Start Device Verification
Click Start Now (if your device has a reliable internet or cellular data connection). If not, click Switch Devices and select another device.
Capture First ID
On the "Capture your first piece of ID" page, choose one acceptable document option: PEI Driver's License or PEI Voluntary ID. Click Continue.
When prompted, hold the front of your ID to the camera within the square box on the screen. Click Take Photo.
Review the image capture: if the photo is clear, click Use this Photo; if unclear, click Retake Photo.
Capture Back of ID
Take a photo of the back of your ID. Click Take Photo, then Use this Photo or Retake Photo as needed.
Enter ID Details
On the "Enter Details From Your ID Card" page, enter: Card Number, Expiry Date, Date of Birth, First Name, Last Name, Serial Number (on back of card). Click Continue.
Second Form of ID
Complete the same steps for the second form of ID.
Video Recording
On the "Before You Record Your Video" page, click Continue. Ensure your face is within the oval and click Start Recording. Say your full name out loud and click Stop Recording.
Completion
The "Success, Your Verification Application is in Progress" page will appear. Click Go to MyPEI.
Adding Health Card Information
Once the MyPEI Account is approved, the user can add their health card information, by performing these steps:
Open Manage PEI ID
On the MyPEI account page, click Manage PEI ID (located on the top left side).
Add Health Card Information
Scroll down to the Health Card Information field found in the Additional information section and click Add.
Enter Health Card Details
In the Verify your Health Card page, enter the Health Number and Expiry Date. Then click Submit.
Finish
Click Finish.
The health card will automatically be updated as the system cross-references the inputs against the already approved IDs.
Accessing MyHealthPEI
MyHealthPEI can be accessed using the following link: https://myhealthpei.thconnect.telushealth.com/
Click Log into MyPEI Account
Select the option to log into your existing MyPEI account
Click Sign In or Create Account
Navigate to the sign-in page
Enter credentials
Enter email address and password. Then click Sign In.
Get Started
Click Get Started.
Access Health Portal
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Log in to Health Portal.
Common Questions
What credentials do I need to sign up?
To sign up with MyHealthPEI, you need your MyPEI account credentials. If you don't already have a MyPEI account, please register for an account before signing up.
I forgot my password. How can I regain access?
To regain access to your MyHealthPEI account if you forgot your password, you will need to reset your MyPEI password. Select the "Forgot password?" link on MyPEI and follow the instructions to reset your password.
I forgot my password and no longer have access to my email address
For your security, you need to have access to your email in order to reset your password at this time.
Why do I need a passcode on my device?
In order to keep your health information secure, a passcode on your device is required to use MyHealthPEI. You can use the web browser on a computer if you are unable to add one.
